Overview

The Beckett Machine is an electronic artwork by Spencer Roberts that endlessly performs the text of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot.

The stage is comprised of a small liquid crystal display and a series of flashing light emitting diodes. The diodes represent individual characters and stage directions. They also indicate which of the two acts is currently being performed.
